Game Background

The action-adventure game The Last Survivor Part II will come out in 2020. Naughty Dog made it and is being distributed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The story occurs five years after “The Last Survivor (2013)”. It follows two player characters in a post-apocalyptic America: Ellie, who wants to get revenge for a murder, and Abby, a soldier who was involved in a murder. The fight between her squad and a religious group You play the game from a third-person point of view. The player must use guns, makeshift weapons, and sneak to fight human enemies and zombie-like animals that eat other zombies.

Game Tips

The Last Survivor Part 2 picks up where the first game left off regarding combat modes and expands upon them. So, while you may already master TLOU 1’s combat, Ellie’s array of new sneaking options and seamless dodging in one-on-one encounters means there’s still a lot to learn in this sequel.
We’ve compiled a list of the best combat-related tips and tricks to help you fight the infected (and the not-yet-infected) in The Last Survivor Part 2 for beginners and advanced players. This guide has been updated for The Last Survivor Part 2: Remastered.

Battle Tips

  1. Killing an enemy by stealth from behind is always the safest method. If the enemy is close enough, you can flank them.

2. Crouching while shooting improves your accuracy, but going completely prone improves it further!

3. You can only carry one at a time, which you can choose from among the surrounding items. You can throw it at your opponent to cause a short stun or use it to lure them to a spot and surprise them with a bomb or incendiary.

4. When killing human NPCs, leave quickly before their companions arrive, or you will reveal your position. You can pound talk and throw them behind cover or in the bushes when you catch them.

5. When killing infected people, make sure they are dead. Otherwise, they will come and bite your ankles.

6. Lying underneath a vehicle does not guarantee complete invisibility. Pay attention to concealment.

7. Running away is possible. Ellie can run away from a fight if the combat area is large enough to give you a breather and re-enable your stealth often.

8. The screech of a stalker hunter will send rattlesnakes running towards you. Once a human enemy spots you, they will point out your location to the others.

9. Be careful when crafting! Like in the original, Part 2 doesn’t freeze time in your crafting menu, so ensure you’re safe before crafting a health pack for yourself. Fortunately, you can craft even while lying on the grass or hiding under a car. Of course, you can still move around while using the Health Pack.

Exploration Tips

1. Search every nook and cranny. Going off the beaten path leads to more than just crafting materials, supplements, or ammo. It also unlocks optional dialog. So, interact with letters and items scattered worldwide to enjoy the story fully.

2. Learn the tools of the trade. While weapon pieces and supplements seem to be easy to come by, you can never find enough to upgrade Ellie or her gear in a single playthrough fully. So maximize and optimize your in-game gear when using these valuable resources. Also, don’t be afraid to save weapon pieces for significant upgrades; the Weapon Workbench pops up periodically.

3. Learn survival training. The entire skill path is locked behind training manuals scattered throughout your journey. Explore each area and unlock each safe to get these upgrades.

4. Look for clues. You come across a safe often, and the code for that safe is almost always nearby. Look for letters around the safe’s location that will sometimes tell you the code directly or hint as to where to find it, such as a specific date or even a phone number. Check the room for answers or hints if you can’t find the letters.

5. Cracking the safe. You can also crack the code when you can’t find the code to a safe! All it takes is enough patience to do it! When you enter the correct numbers, you will hear a slight change in the dial click.

6. Become a survival expert. Getting resources is helpful for your survival, but you can only carry a limited number of items, so you can only carry more important things.

7. Remember that you can go back. Don’t emphasize collecting everything at once the first time you play the story. The Last Survivor Part 2 has a great chapter selection system that tells you how many collectibles are missing from the chapters you’ve cleared. You can go back at any time.

8. Don’t miss the little things. Don’t forget about corkboards and walls when you’re looking for collectibles. Another person may have stuck a valuable trade card on other papers.

9. Break everything. Of course, don’t be afraid to break all the glass as long as there are no enemies around to hear you. Most vending machines have health, and some windows may even lead to places you couldn’t get to otherwise. The game tells you you can shoot or hit the glass to break it, not just throw things through it.

10. Note the randomness of generation. We noticed that some important items may appear in different locations. If you miss a manual or new gun the first time, it may appear a few sections later. Sometimes, collectibles also appear in slightly different locations. The reason for this is unclear. But because of this, there is all the more reason not to leave any drawers unopened or areas unexplored.

11. Get your hands on every one of them. Want the coveted Platinum Trophy? There are no difficulty-based trophies for The Last Survivor Part 2, but you must play at least part of the game again to upgrade your character fully.

The Difference Between The Last of Us Part 2 and Remastered

A few months before the PlayStation 5 came out, the first version of The Last of Us Part 2 came out on the PlayStation 4.
As a result, the game couldn’t take full advantage of the PS5’s hardware.
Now, Naughty Dog has released The Last Survivor Part 2: Remastered.
Visually, we shouldn’t expect much. The Last Survivor: Part 2 Remastered brings new content when it releases on January 19, 2024, on the PS5. They will be the following:

● In Roguelike mode, you must survive hordes of enemies in randomized scenarios and encounters that vary from game to game. There will be a final leader, unlockable and unreleased playable characters……
● The so-called “Lost Levels,” three new levels abandoned in the original version, can be played here in the first development version.
● Speedrun Mode and Guitar Free Play Mode allow complete freedom to play the guitar and other new instruments.
● Developer comments can be activated throughout the game.
● New skins and weapons for Ellie and Abby.

For those who don’t own the original, the remaster will be released for the price of the regular game, while for those who do own the original, Sony will allow them the option to upgrade to the PS5 for $10.

Should You Buy The Last Survivor Part 2 Remastered?

While No Return is a cool new game mode worth trying, it doesn’t take full advantage of the PlayStation 5’s hardware. The lost levels and free-to-play modes are also nice additions, but they’re ultimately just superfluous curiosities that only last a short time. This “remastered” feels unnecessary, as all the new features could have just been additional DLC or expansions to the original PS4 version. The visual enhancements don’t seem to make a huge impact, either.
It’s also priced at $50, which is probably a lot to ask for a game first released four years ago. However, those already owning the PS4 version can upgrade to the remaster for just $10. Whether you’re new to the game or a veteran, the remaster is a great way to experience it for the first time or revisit it now that it’s the definitive version.
